"A lifelong resident of the Jersey Shore, I grew up swimming, fishing and sailing on the local waterways. When complications from Multiple Sclerosis took away my ability to get on beach, I was devastated... then a friend told me to attend an Operation Beachhead event. I was hesitant at first, since I wasn't a Veteran. Michael Ricci, and the men and women of Operation Beachhead welcomed me with open arms. Operation Beachhead and adaptive surfing has given my life new direction, which has expanded to adaptive skiing."
