An idea became a vision; a vision became a mission; and a mission brought Operation Beachhead to life.
This life continues to grow through the support of people who wish to show their appreciation and thanks to our veterans.

Operation Beachhead

An idea became a vision; a vision became a mission;
and a mission brought Operation Beachhead to life.

November Sled Hockey Event

Operation Beachhead stormed the frozen surf and took control for the second sled-hockey event of the season. The event took place at the John J Piccolo Arena in Old Bridge NJ on November 14.

 We once again welcomed the members from the James J. Peters Veterans Administration Medical Center in the Bronx NY along with our regular team members. We were honored to have all the veterans join us, in particular it was a joy to see another WWII veteran willing to give sled-hockey a try.

Also on hand were Operation Beachhead volunteers, volunteers from the FDNY (New York City Fire Department) intramural hockey team members.

A surprise visit by Rich Lee, from  Surfers Environmental Alliance turned out to be an even bigger surprise when he presented Operation Beachhead with a very generous donation.

Everyone was treated to breakfast and lunch donated by the town of Old Bridge which provided by and served by Giuseppe’s in Old Bridge .

We look forward to our next event on December 14 when we will be joined by the members from the East Orange Veterans Campus.
