An idea became a vision; a vision became a mission; and a mission brought Operation Beachhead to life.
This life continues to grow through the support of people who wish to show their appreciation and thanks to our veterans.

Operation Beachhead

An idea became a vision; a vision became a mission;
and a mission brought Operation Beachhead to life.

December Sled Hockey Event

Operation Beachhead celebrated the last skating event for the year 2016 on December 14 at the Old Bridge John J Piccolo Arena. Our team regulars welcomed the members from the East Orange Veterans Campus. Together they stormed the “frozen surf, established beachhead, and took control”.

The “Knights Kafe” staff was on hand to provide breakfast, lunch, and warm beverages. The Knights Kafe, The John Piccolo Old Bridge Rink staff and facilities are always offered to Operation Beachhead at the generosity of the town of Old Bridge. This is the third year our team has been treated to f the total use of the rink. Operation Beachhead and our guests are always made to feel welcomed by the staff.

A large number of volunteers assist the participants. The volunteers are members of Operation Beachhead, FDNY (New York Fire Department) Intramural Hockey Team, local police and firemen, and several local hockey coaches.

We look forward to getting 2017 off to a good start on Wednesday, January 11 when we will be joined by veterans from the East Orange Veterans Campus, James J. Peters VA Medical Center in  the Bronx, adults with special needs, Active duty Troops, and as always our Operation Beachhead regulars.
