GENERAL PETER PACE was sworn in as sixteenth Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff on Sep. 30, 2005. In this capacity, he serves as the principal military advisor to the President, the Secretary of Defense, the National Security Council, and the Homeland Security Council. Prior to becoming Chairman, he served as Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. General Pace holds the distinction of being the first Marine to have served in either of these positions.

JOHN J. PEIRANO, partner,  represents management in employment and labor matters including traditional labor practice. He has extensive experience with NLRB and PERC matters. He is an experienced negotiator, both as principal spokesperson and as counsel to principal negotiators. He represents employers' interests in arbitrations, wage and hour matters, injunctions, and employment discrimination claims involving race, sex, religion, age, handicap or sexual orientation. Mr. Peirano regularly provides defense against actions for wrongful discharge, breach of contract, whistleblowing and related torts including defamation, tortious interference and intentional infliction of emotional distress before Federal and State courts. Mr. Peirano also conducts ERISA and other benefits litigation and litigates FMLA and WARN issues.

STEPHEN M ORLOFSHY, partner,  concentrates his practice in the areas of complex litigation and alternative dispute resolution.  He counsels clients throughout the U.S. in federal and state civil and criminal courts, both at the appellate and trial level.  He has experience litigating, arbitrating, mediating, and serving as a special master in a wide variety of matters, including: appellate litigation in state and federal courts, commercial disputes, securities, antitrust. patent and intellectual property, malpractice and professional ethics legal ethics, electronic discovery, white-collar criminal defense, class actions in state and federal courts, internal investigations, environmental, and ERISA.

COLONEL LISA HOU, Commander of The Medical Battalion at the Sea Girt Army Base, Sea Girt, NJ. Dr. Lisa Hou is an ENT-otolaryngologist. She received her medical degree from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine and has been in practice for 19 years.

PETER McGUIGAN is the founding and managing partner of McGuigan ,Tombs and Company, a certified public accounting firm. Pete graduated from Montclair State University with an accounting degree in 1981. Prior to establishing the firm in 1990, Pete was a tax manager with the international Big Four accounting firm of Ernst & Young (“E&Y”). Prior to joining E&Y, Pete was an audit supervisor with Eisner Amper, LLP, a national accounting firm with local offices in New Jersey and New York. Pete holds CPA licenses in both New Jersey and New York.

SANDY TROMBETTA, founder and director of the National Disabled Winter Sports Clinic. Sandy began bringing VA patients to a nearby mountain resort to participate in disabled ski programs. As a recreation therapist at the VA Medical Center in Grand Junction, Colorado, he recognized the physical and mental healing that skiing and other winter sports could provide to veterans with disabilities.

NOAH CURRIER, founder and president of Oscar Mike company and foundation. Six years after the traumatic accident that paralyzed him from the chest down, former Marine Cpl. Currier finally found the drive to get back into competitive sports—and has been “Oscar Mike” (“on the move”) ever since.

Michael Aiello, partner, is Chairman of the over 600-lawyer Corporate Department of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP and a member of the Firm’s Management Committee. Mr. Aiello regularly represents companies in connection with mergers, acquisitions and divestitures involving public companies.

Gene Quigley currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Numotion Mobility. Numotion is a leading complex mobility and Urological supply company that helps people living with disabilities by providing leading edge products and services to help create independence.

For the past twenty years, Gene has held numerous executive leadership positions in the healthcare Industry. Prior to Numotion, Gene served as the Vice President of Sales for Byram Healthcare, a leading medical supply company. While at Byram, Gene led sales efforts for the diabetes and chronic care divisions. Before joining Byram, Gene served as the Vice President of Sales & Sales Operations for CCS Medical, an industry leading medical device company. While at CCS, Gene led commercial operations for the Diabetes Division.  Prior to CCS Medical, Gene served in numerous sales and marketing leadership roles with Bayer Healthcare, a $35 billion dollar Global healthcare leader. While at Bayer, gene was selected to participate and complete the companies prestigious Executive Leadership Development Program.

Throughout his career in Healthcare, Gene has shared a passion for mission driven cultures by creating high performance teams built on the foundation of trust, respect and caring for others where helping people is foundational.

Gene grew up on the Jersey Shore, and has spent his lifetime in the ocean and playing team sports. Gene was a Division 1 college hockey player and served as an ocean lifeguard in Sea Girt and Belmar for over 15 years where he was named to the US National Competition Team. He competed and placed in many local and national lifeguarding championships. Gene holds a BS Degree in Liberal Arts from Bowling Green State University. He is an avid surfer, fisherman and skier, and enjoys spending time with his family in the ocean and mountains. Gene is also the current co-owner for Shore Catch Guide Service, one of the Northeast largest saltwater fly and light tackle charter fishing companies. He has appeared on ESPN and the Outdoor Network in numerous fishing shows and is a regular seminar speaker and author for Saltwater Sportsman and Sport Fishing Magazines. He is highly passionate about helping people live happier and healthier lives by teaching and sharing his own passion for life.

Jim Freda is a Physics Teacher at Manasquan HS where he has been teaching for the last 36 years. He holds an M.Ed in Science Education and Comprehensive Science Certificate. He has taught all the sciences during his tenure. In 1990 he was one of two teachers in the state selected for the Christa McAuliffe Fellowship Award from the Dept. of Education. He was awarded a 20k Grant and developed a Medical Technology Curriculum for the Non-College Bound student. Besides taking classes students worked on site at Jersey Shore Medical Center. He also was one of 30 teachers in the US selected for the National Leadership Institute for Physics by Rutgers University and AT&T Bell Labs. Jim was the Manasquan District Teacher of the Year in 1993. In 1995 he was selected as the District nominee as a Tandy Technology Scholar as an Outstanding Science teacher and the District nominee for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science Teaching.

Jim has a passion for the ocean and has been lifesaving at the Jersey Shore for the past 36 years. He is a USLA National Certified lifeguard and was a lifeguard supervisor in Belmar and now currently manages Sea Girt Beach. He is responsible for the daily operation of the beachfront in all aspects of safety, service, and sales. Jim still competes in the local and national USLA competitions.

Jim is also a US Coast Guard licensed Captain and avid fisherman. He owns and runs Shore Catch Sportfishing out of Manasquan chartering the inshore and offshore waters of the Jersey Shore for striped bass and tuna. He is on the National Pro Staff for St. Croix Rod Company. Jim is a highly respected charter captain, author, outdoor writer, seminar speaker, and photographer. As a seminar speaker Jim was featured as one of the celebrities on the Saltwater Sportsman National Seminar Series and is one of the “Stars of the Show” at the Fly Fishing Show in Somerset, the Word Fishing and Outdoor Expo in Suffern, NY, and the Saltwater Fishing Expo in Somerset. His book, "Fishing the New Jersey Coast", is a best seller on the market today and has received the “New Jersey Center for the Book Award” as one of the most notable NJ fishing books. He is also co-author of "Saltwater Fishing, A Tactical Approach". Jim has been a contributing editor for Fly Fishing in Saltwaters Magazine and currently writes for Saltwater Sportsman, Eastern Fly Fishing, Big Game Journal, The Fisherman Magazine, and On the Water Magazine. Jim has saltwater fishing columns that appear in The Bergen Record, the Coast Star and Ocean Star Newspapers.
